Organization

The new Master of Medical Informatics of the Medical Faculty of the Universidad de Chile in cooperation with Heidelberg University extends over two years (four semesters).

The program is organized by the Medical Faculty in collaboration with lecturers from the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and the University of Heidelberg. This collaboration agreement is put into practice by the Heidelberg Center for Latin America, Center of Excellence in Research and Teaching.

The established credit system (ECTS) allows for the international recognition of the credit points acquired in the courses and of the academic degrees obtained.

The courses are taught in Spanish and English. The collaboration agreement encompasses Chilean and German lecturers who, due to their vast experience both in theory and in practice, provide an excellent theoretical and practical training for the graduates who will then be able to work all over the world.

The acquired title “Master of Medical Informatics” is equivalent to “Master of Science”, being accepted both in Chile and in Germany.
